Requirements

We recently developed a new WordPress website for our clients The Tartan Stag. The luxury apartment rental in Edinburgh had decided to re-brand themselves and called on their favourite website designers Primal Space to help them with the process.

Firstly we offered our graphic design services. Working alongside the client to create a new logo based on their specifications. Not only was this to be incorporated throughout the new site, but also across all marketing campaigns and eventually on various types of merchandise. We came up with something that was quirky and fun, reflecting the brand image.

Next we got to work developing the new WordPress website design which was to be a single page site initially. Reworking the content from the existing site to display this in a more engaging manner. Creating a website that was both user friendly and pleasing to the eye. Taking inspiration from the layout of Instagram with the continuous scroll, while offering a top navigation menu and clever internal linking structures. Therefore allowing the user to navigate around the site with ease.

The team at The Tartan Stag provided us with some website mock-ups of ideas that they wanted to include. While website screenshots were also provided a useful visual, demonstrating elements they were keen to incorporate within the new design. These included a full screen header slider, parallax images with content displayed on top. As well as an interactive gallery area and numerical counters.

The client has scheduled a future phase of the project for early next year which will include the design and build of a custom booking system. Overall we’re delighted with the new design and look forward to working on the next phase of this project and seeing it evolve and provide a successful marketing and sales tool for their business.
