Requirements

Primal Space recently created a new website design for James Gillespie’s High School in Edinburgh. The requirements outlined for the project were to have a functional yet engaging website design. That could easily be navigated by parents, pupils and staff alike. With a blog area that could be updated regularly with important information. While also being a resource for each of the faculties.

The new website launched in August 2019 and is both modern and professional. Possessing vibrant imagery and the use of carefully positioned white space. Ensuring that the client’s content was at the forefront of the design. Well-positioned CTA (call to action) buttons, contact form and internal linking have also been incorporated within the build. Allowing the user to move around the website with ease and reduce the number of clicks required to arrive at their desired destination. User Experience (UX) was carefully considered throughout. An events calendar function was also incorporated within this website design.

We opted to utilise WordPress development as the primary platform of choice to build the new site. Visual Composer drives the content in the admin area. Therefore, allowing the client to easily update their site ongoing adding new pages and content as required.

As always the website is fully optimised and responsive, to load seamlessly across all mobile devices and screen sizes. The client was delighted with the final outcome. This was a really rewarding project that we are pleased to have been involved with.
